How to Remove the Inside Door Panel on a 2002 Toyota Sienna
The Toyota Sienna went unchanged between 1998 and 2003. The process of removing the inside door panel is the same for all six models. The Sienna was redesigned in 2004 with a slightly different door panel. If you need to replace your door speakers or repair your power windows or locks, you'll first need to remove the door panel.

- Pliers
- Flat head screwdriver
- Phillips screwdriver
- Door trim panel tool

Disconnect the negative (black) battery cable. To disconnect the cable, loosen the nut attached to the cable and pull the cable away from the terminal.

Remove the courtesy lamp lens at the rear section of the door panel. You can pry the lens off with a flat head screwdriver.

Remove the two screw caps from inside of the door panel armrest. Remove the screws behind the caps and slide the armrest off.

Pry off the trim panel behind the inside door handle. Remove the Phillips screw behind the panel.

Pry up the power window control panel with a flat head screwdriver. Unhook the wiring harness from behind it.

Use the door trim panel tool to disengage the clips that attach the door panel to the door. The 2002 Sienna has seven clips. Two of them are on each side and three are
bottom. Insert the tool between the panel and the door and push back to disengage the clips. - 7
Carefully pull the panel away from the door and set it aside.
