How to Install Fog Lights on a Toyota Sequoia

The fog lights on the Toyota Sequoia should be checked every six months to make sure that they are functioning properly. The fog lights on the Sequoia sit below the headlights and illuminate the road. Because they sit so low, they are able to shine underneath the fog instead of shining directly into it. When your fog lights burn out, you'll need to know how to install new ones.

     Open the hood and reach down behind the headlight assembly. Unplug the electrical connector running to the back of the fog light ballast.

     Turn the fog light bulb counterclockwise and pull the old bulb out of the housing.

     Insert the new bulb into the housing and align the tabs on the bulb with the notches in the housing.

     Turn the bulb clockwise to secure the bulb into the Sequoia's fog light housing assembly.

   • 5

     Connect the electrical connector to the back of the bulb ballast.
